It is somewhat ironic, to me, that you link to philanthropy2173 as a source on how this economic era might not be different, when I feel as if I&#039;ve been the lone voice of doom pointing out all the ways the past trend data won&#039;t apply and that there is no way this economic phase won&#039;t diminish giving. It no fun seeing things this way, so it is nice to have you as company.

I agree with you - there are simply to many hits to the economy, from too many directions, in too many places, on too many people ALL AT THE SAME TIME (fourth quarter, a key period for giving). The key questions I have left are how deep and for how long? Thanks for the links on remittances - good info to have.  And thanks for the callout! Lucy</description>
